I have always been a little obsessed with art books, but now I have a great collection of some AMAZING books about color!  Everyday finding out some amazing information!  Josef Albers, Mark Rothko, Bauhaus boys are truly inspiring every time I can witness a piece of their work:)

Ochre

A friend is traveling to Australia this week and I couldn't help but think about the amount of ochre that is revealed in Northern Australia.  Absolutely stunning.

BERLIN

Recently accepted into the Transart Institute MFA program, my journey begins in BERLIN!  I will be here for roughly 5 weeks.  Excited to visit  the following spaces and much, much more!

Uferstudios  Wedding, Berlin
Somos Art Space, Kreuzberg, Berlin
MilaKunst Galerie, Mitte, Berlin (MK)
Lindner Project Space,  Kreuzberg, Germany
Looking forward to see all that Berlin has to offer!  Due to being in Estes Park at the Stanley Hotel last week I feel like this Berlin Street art is highly appropriate!

Four months from now I am starting an unbelievable journey to Germany, Italy, Spain & Greece to continue my research for a visual timeline of pigments.
Everywhere has natural pigments that contribute to this story, my intention is to visually show the evolution of our basic primary colors RED, YELLOW & BLUE!
My journey started a bit early:)  I was in Red Rocks, Colorado and it is hard not to notice the amount of original pigment scattered through the rocks.  These basic colors are in nature together everywhere, here are a few images to visualize how this research documentation may go!  Let the journey begin:)
